2. Bing- Bing is used by typing into the search box. There are options such as images, videos, maps, and news where you can click to search through these sources. This search engine could be used to search for any type of information and can be compared to Google. I use this website often when searching the internet for information.
3. Ask- On the Ask homepage there is a Question of the Day and Previous Questions of the Day section. There is also a Q&A Community tab where you can browse and ask questions on the website. To ask a question users should type in the Ask box and click "Find Answers." Although this search engine has Images and News tabs, it would be best used for asking questions.
4. Yahoo- Yahoo is a search engine that I personally use myself. It can be used for mail, news, music, weather, sports, and other things. To search on Yahoo, click in the box next to the Yahoo logo, type and click search web. I believe this search engine would be most useful for mail but also searching the web. Yahoo is an overall great search engine to use.
5. AOL- AOL is a search engine that can be used for information, mail, weather, and entertainment news. It is used by typing in the box next to the AOL logo and clicking search. It seems to be a website that focuses on news, sports, and weather but can also be used for videos and chatting. I used this website mostly when I first started using a computer over a decade ago. I would still use this website for information I want to search for on the internet.
6. DuckDuckGo- On DuckDuckGo's homepage it states their slogan, "The search engine that doesn't track you." This website gives you the option to take a tour of the website and also offers you a lot of privacy. This search engine would be good to find out any type of information. It would also be good to use if you want privacy and do not want to be tracked. This is my first time hearing about this website but I would use it in the future.
7. MyWebSearch- MyWebSearch is a search engine powered by Google. It is used by typing into the search box what you want to find. This website provides quick links to popular websites that users may use. When searching on MyWebSearch the layout is very similar to Google such as the Web, Images, and News tabs. After viewing this website I will most likely use this search engine again for different types of information seeing that it can be used for anything.
8. InfoSpace- InfoSpace is a search engine that uses other search engines to help them find information. I believe this website would be best used if the user wants information from several different search engines. InfroSpace seems like a good website to use for searching any type of information needed.
